New Ebsco Databases added July 1, 2002
Thirteen Ebsco full-text academic
databases have been acquired
by OhioLINK and are now available to AU researchers. Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier and
Newspaper Source will replace Periodical Abstracts, ABI/Inform
and Newspaper Abstracts from ProQuest. Ten additional Ebsco full text databases have
been acquired through a state wide database acquisiton plan.
OhioLINK. in cooperation with OPLIN
(Ohio Public Library and Information Network) and INFOhio
(the K-12 library network), has negotiated a state wide contract for these new
databases from at substantial savings. A comparison
of the ProQuest and Ebsco products shows that Ebsco can
provide more databases, more titles, more full-text and larger backfiles. In addition, Ebsco has a stronger set of academic and peer-reviewed
materials.
These Ebsco full-text academic
databases are now available.

Search Premier
This resource contains full text for 3,393 scholarly publications. Academic
Search Premier includes PDF images for the great majority of journals; many of
these PDF's are native (searchable) or scanned-in-color. This scholarly collection
provides full text journal coverage for nearly all academic areas of study.

This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic

This database, designed specifically for business schools and libraries,
contains 2,583 full text scholarly journals and business periodicals covering

the great majority of journals; many of these PDF's are native (searchable)
