	How Do I Find Books? To Locate Books in the Ashland University Library To find a book in AU library, select AU Library Catalog from the drop down menu under the heading, Library Catalogs, on the main library page. AU Library Catalog allows you to search by title, author, key word or Library of Congress Subject. The catalog includes materials at the AU Library, the AU Theological Seminary Library, the Instructional Resource Center, and the library of the Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs. Once you have found a book in the catalog, you will be able to determine the book’s location, call number and availability. In front of the elevator on the main floor there is a directory of call numbers that indicates on which floors you can find the books. Remember, reference librarians are available to help you. If you can’t find what you need in the AU library catalog. You may search the OhioLINK Central Catalog. AU students and faculty may borrow books from OhioLINK, a consortium of over eighty academic Ohio libraries. There are two ways to search for books in the OhioLINK Catalog. If you have already completed a search in the AU Library Catalog, simply click on the OhioLINK button in the upper right hand corner of your search screen. Your search will automatically be transferred to the comprehensive OhioLINK Catalog. If you prefer, you may select OhioLINK Catalog from the drop down menu under the heading, Library Catalogs, on the main library page. The OhioLINK Catalog allows you to search by title, author, key word, Library of Congress Subject, or medical subject. To order a book from OhioLINK. If the item is available, you may borrow it by submitting an on-line request form. You will need your AU student ID # to order OhioLINK books. It normally takes 2-4 business days for the books to arrive at the AU Library circulation desk, or alternate pick up location as selected. If you can’t find what you need in the AU library catalog, nor the OhioLINK Catalog.Books not available at AU Library nor through OhioLINK may be requested through interlibrary loan. Please ask a reference librarian for an interlibrary loan form. Off-campus students may use the online request forms. It normally takes 7-10 business days for the books to arrive at the circulation desk of the library. This service is available for no charge to Ashland University faculty, staff, and students.
