AU Eagle Card

You need an Ashland University EagleCard or suitable identification with photo ID to borrow materials. In addition you must be registered in the library's online system. Call the Telecommunications Office at 289-5076 for scheduled times when I.D. cards are made.

Your Ashland University EagleCard I.D. entitles you to borrowing privileges at the Ashland University and Ashland Seminary Library and all OhioLINK libraries. Visiting OhioLINK patrons will need an I.D. from their home institution.

Non-Ashland University borrowers may apply for a community borrowers card at the Circulation Desk. T
he community borrowers card does not allow you OhioLINK borrowing privileges at Ashland or other OhioLINK libraries.  Media and Instructional Resource Center (IRC) items do not circulate to community borrowers. For more information on Community Borrowing privileges, click here.

Holds and Recalls

If you find that you need a book that is already checked out, go to the Circulation Desk, ask to put a "hold" on an item that is checked out. The staff will place a hold on the item for you and notify you when it has been returned. You will then have the opportunity to check it out.
