When viewing a call number, the first letter defines main class with a second letter further defining a specific sub-division. In many cases, cutter numbers detail and clarify subjects. Call numbers are completed with author name and publication year. No, David! By: David Shannon More information about Library of Congress classification and call numbers see Understanding Call Numbers from the Library of Congress.
