Services for Faculty & Staff

Welcome to Ashland University! Ashland University Library offers services to support full-time and adjunct faculty members at main campus and regional centers in Cleveland, Columbus, Elyria, and Massilon/Stark.

Services to Support Research and Scholarship

Ask a Librarian!
It is easy to ask a librarian, we are available via Ask a Librarian, our IM/Chat service, email library@ashland.edu, and phone 419-289-5401.

Faculty Publications Database
Ashland University Library maintains a database of faculty publications. Please contact reference librarian Kathryn Venditti (kvenditt@ashland.edu) about your recent publications so we may include them in our database and purchase copies of published works. Click here to view a listing of published books currently part of the library collection.

Interlibrary Loan
Free interlibrary loan is available for materials that can not be accessed through our collections, databases, or OhioLINK. Books borrowed using interlibrary loan may be picked up at the library circulation desk. Journal articles will be mailed directly to requestors.

Journal Lending
Faculty members may borrow hard copies of journals. All journals must be signed out at the circulation desk.

Library Liaisons
A faculty librarian is assigned to each academic department. This library liaison is your contact to request materials be purchased to support your course curriculum. Library liaisons are also available to assist you with becoming familiar with library and OhioLINK databases and introduce you to new resources.

Managing your Library Account
It is possible to renew books, check fines and status of OhioLINK requests through the library catalog. You will need your Ashland University account number to access this information. As always, feel free to call the circulation desk (x5400) to renew materials.
