MBA Seminars
Ashland University's MBA
Program has developed a series of seminars to serve the educational
needs of business leaders and graduate students. The purpose of
the seminars is to provide students the opportunity to broaden their
knowledge of current issues in business. These courses are typically
offered as Friday/Saturday classes, meeting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. A continental breakfast
is provided both days, and lunch is served on Friday by Ashland
University's award-winning catering service. Hotel listings are
available if overnight accommodations are desired.
These 12-hour seminars may be taken for 1
hour of elective credit in Ashland University's MBA Program. Students
taking the seminar for credit are required to complete a graded
assignment related to the course material covered. Students may
apply credit from a maximum of three seminars as a substitution
for one MBA course. Interested students should contact the MBA Office
to determine which MBA course may be substituted. The prerequisites
required for a specific seminar depend upon the detail and rigor
of the topic. If no prerequisite is listed in the seminar description,
the course does not require a prerequisite for students taking the
class for credit. Seminars are available to be taken for non-credit
even if a prerequisite is not met. Upon request, Continuing Education
Units are awarded to participants for attending a seminar. For
more information, please contact the MBA Office at 1-888-MBA-CLAS.
