COMPUTER SCIENCE, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (Tenure-track)

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Ashland University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science, beginning August 2008. Ashland University is a private, comprehensive liberal arts and sciences institution serving 2000 students at the main campus in Ashland, Ohio. The Computer Science program offers undergraduate courses for both a major and a minor in Computer Science, along with courses supporting the University Core Curriculum and other majors. The successful candidate will teach a wide range of undergraduate courses for majors and non-majors, provide service to the institution, and engage in scholarly activity. Teaching experience with demonstrated excellence is desired. Experience in teaching Computer Networks, Architecture, Algorithms and Operating Systems will complement our current faculty.  Qualification and experience in teaching mathematics courses is also valuable. The Ph.D. in Computer Science, or the equivalent, is required.
