On Wednesday, Feb. 3, Ashland University will be celebrating “Tuition Free Day.” This day symbolizes when tuition runs out and other revenue producing programs and support from Ashland University alumni, family and friends make up the difference. Like all other colleges and universities, tuition only covers a portion of the total cost. At Ashland, this portion is 61% and Feb. 3 marks the day that we will be 61% of the way through actual class and finals days.
This effort is designed to educate Ashland students on the importance of outside support to Ashland. Many do not realize that tuition does not cover everything and without other areas of support, tuition would actually be a lot more.
On Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floor of the HCSC, students will be able to receive more information on “Tuition Free Day,” enter to win bookstore gift cards and have an opportunity to thank Ashland University donors.
