Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery to Host Exhibition
The Coburn Art Gallery at Ashland University will host an art exhibition in conjunction with the University’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Summer Program. The exhibition will feature artists E. A. Meuser and Catherine Haven Kirby. E.A. Meuser is a Kentucky artist and Ohio native.
The exhibition will open with a reception on Sunday, July 25, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing Craft Seminar with Peter Campton at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Meuser recently created a special collection of monotype prints and paintings titled “In America’s Wake,” which was dedicated to the tragedy of May 4th, 1970. It was recently on exhibit at Kent State University.
Artist Catherine Haven Kirby is an associate professor of art at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.
The exhibition will run through August 22. The Coburn Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
