Ashland University to Offer Primary Group Exercise Certification
Ashland University’s Department of Recreational Services will be holding an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Primary Group Exercise Certification (v4) Workshop Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This workshop is for anyone who is or is interested in becoming a group exercise instructor. Those who sign up will receive a packet of study materials prior to the workshop and certification tests will be given on the day of the workshop. Those passing the tests will receive certification to be a group exercise instructor.
The fee to attend the workshop is $299, with a 10 percent discount for those who are current AFAA members. Materials that are included with the class are a study guide, a one-day certification review, a one-year AFAA membership, and a subscription to American Fitness magazine, among other things.
