A new ticket tracking and software/inventory management system was purchased over the summer and is being implemented this fall. This system will improve our ability to respond to customer requests for service and support and enhance the ability to manage security updates and third party software/utility updates. An icon for the “Kbox Agent” will appear in the task bar of computers on campus. This is required to communicate with the Kbox server so that these updates can be installed on University managed computers. The Kbox system allows for the management of updates on systems running either the Windows or Mac operating system. The Kbox system will be implemented gradually across campus over the next few months starting with computer in the Patterson building.
