Web and Email Access for Blackberry and Smart Phones

There is some confusion about the plans needed from Verizon for the Blackberry and other Smart Phone devices (i.e. Droid) to be able to receive Ashland University email and calendar data as well as web access. The proper data plan is the $29.99/month plan for Email & Web for Blackberry and Smart Phones. There is a $45.99/month plan called “Email & Web with Corporate Provisioning” but this plan is not required for access to Ashland University email and calendar. Unfortunately, the staff at the local Verizon store has been recommending the more expensive plan but the less expensive one is what is needed for Blackberry and Smart Phone devices to access Ashland University email and Calendar.
