Ashland University to Hold Martin Luther King Convocation

Ashland University will hold its 2011 Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation on Jan. 17. The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in Ashland University’s Jack and Deb Miller Chapel, located on the corner of King Road and College Avenue.

The convocation, which is sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Multicultural Student Services and the Center for Religious Life, will feature special music rendered by Bryant Jones and Chosen of Chicago, Ill., and a keynote address presented by Dr. Marvin A. McMickle, professor of homiletics at Ashland Theological Seminary and pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Also joining the celebration in song are Ashland University’s One Church Worship Experience and University Choir.
