Ashland University Graduate Presents ‘Meet the Entrepreneur’
A business program co-sponsored by the new Ashland University Eagle Entrepreneurs student organization and the Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies featured Tony Madalone, an Ashland University graduate and president of his own company.
Madalone, who has two degrees from Ashland University -- a bachelor of science in business administration degree in 2007 and an MBA degree in 2009, spoke to students, faculty and members of the community in the Ridenour Room of the Dauch College of Business and Economics.
Madalone’s program was titled “Meet the Entrepreneur” and he spoke on his entrepreneurial journey that has led to him become president of Fresh Brewed Tees in Lakewood, Ohio. Madalone is known throughout the state as the creator of the "Quitness" T-shirt when LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Madalone started his first business in his residence hall room in Clayton Hall while a student at Ashland University. He is now founder, president and CEO of Fresh Brewed Tees (www.freshbrewedtees.com), and last year one his products was featured on ESPN.
Madalone’ s presentation dealt with how he started and grew his apparel business as well as how he incorporates social responsibility into his business.
