Coburn Gallery and Art Club to Hold ‘Art Saturdays’
Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery and Art Club will again this fall offer “Art Saturdays,” an educational and creative experience for children 7 to 15 years old. “Art Saturdays” will be offering classes on the following dates – Sept. 10, Oct. 15 and Nov. 19 – in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus.
The Art Saturdays will include:
On Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon, an Adobe Photoshop Workshop will be held for students ages 10-15. Students will learn about Photoshop and gain new skills in creating art on the computer. Basic computer skills are required. Cost is $10 per student and enrollment is limited to 12 students. The session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 340.
On Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon, an ART FEST that will engage students in many fun art activities inspired by the Ashland University purple and gold will be held for those ages 5-12. The cost is $5 per student. The session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346.
On Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, a program titled “Adventures in Bookmaking” will allow students to learn the basics of bookbinding and mixed media transfer techniques. The cost is $10 per student and enrollment is limited to 15 students. This session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346
