Admissions Offers Open House for High School Juniors and Seniors
The Ashland University Office of Admissions will be offering two days of Open Houses this fall to give high school upperclassmen and their parents a chance to explore and interact with the Ashland University campus.
An all-day event, these Open Houses (set for Sept. 17 and Nov. 5) will provide visiting high school students and parents with student-led campus tours and opportunities to meet faculty and staff from every academic department and campus organization, according to Megan Brown, Ashland’s admission representative for the Southwest Ohio region.
Brown said that between the campus tours, information fair and visit to the Student Dining Hall, there will be separate parent and student sessions. Parents will have their questions answered by staff members and admissions representatives while students will get to interact with Ashland students and learn about their campus experiences.
“These Open Houses are distinct from other admission visits in that more than just admission representatives will be available to speak to students,” Brown said. “High school students will get to meet potential future professors and get to better know current Ashland students that could be their future friends.”
Students or parents who are interested in attending one of the Open Houses can contact the Office of Admissions at 1.800.882.1548 ext. 5052 or go to www.ashland.edu/admission.
