Ashland University Posts 2011 Electronic Christmas Card
Millions of people across the globe have captured the Christmas spirit thanks to the electronic Christmas cards that have been distributed by Ashland University since 2001.
“We get thousands of replies from people all over the world who have viewed the cards,” said Steve Hannan, director of public relations at Ashland University. “They vary from a simple ‘thank you’ to some remarkable stories of how the cards have brought back a special Christmas memory.”
This year’s card is a little different than the cards in past years because it actually includes video shot by the Journalism and Digital Media Department on the Ashland University campus. The card features students from some of the more than 115 student organizations on campus and these students are talking about Christmas memories and traditions.
To access this year’s card, go to http://ecard.ashland.edu/. The cards from the previous years are also available through that link by clicking on the View Gallery option.
According to Hannan, the University sends the electronic card link to Ashland University alumni as well as admission prospects. “The cards continue to circulate the world every Christmas season so millions of people across the globe continue to say ‘Merry Christmas’ through Ashland University’s electronic cards each year,” he said.
