12 Tech Innovators Who Are Transforming Campuses (Chronicle of Higher Education 2012)

To say that technology is in a state of change is a vast understatement. We try our best to implement leading technologies and adapt to change but we are often a step or two behind. Sometimes this is a good thing because it prevents us from consuming scarce resources in pursuit of a technology that is not viable. Sometimes this is a bad thing because we do not implement technologies in demand by our customers as soon as desired. What we need to be aware of (and perhaps engaged in) are technologies that are transformative because these sometimes are often disruptive in nature and can change everything we do in a short amount of time. The Chronicle of Higher Education highlights 12 “innovators” that are actively engaged in transforming their campus environment and their work may have implications for the larger higher education marketplace:
