On April 23, the IT department implemented a software solution that updates your Gmail password anytime you change your network password. When you change your network password using either the self-service password reset tool (information on how to enroll and change your password is found on http://www.ashland.edu/operations/information-technology/get-help-forms/self-service-password-reset-tool ) or using the change password function on your computer, the new password will be replicated to your Ashland Gmail account. The change can take up to 15 minutes and only happens after you change your network password. This change affects all @ashland.edu email accounts. Any device or software (iPad, smart phone, Mac Mail, browsers, etc) that accesses your email account or calendar will need to be manually updated with the new password.
