The Battle Against Bad PowerPoint (Tech Therapy podcast , 2012) and Five Best PowerPoint Alternatives (Lifehacker, 2021)

We have all seen great PowerPoint presentations and we have also had to sit through ones that are not all that engaging. These resources explore two different approaches to making class time and presentations more engaging. The Tech Therapy podcast with Jose Bower from Southern Methodist University suggests having less technology available during class time to increase the level of faculty-student engagement. The Makeuseof.com article reviews presentation alternatives to PowerPoint including Keynote, Google Docs Presentation, Beamer, Impress, Prezi (the latter has been discussed before and is a personal favorite).
