Wireless Authentication – AUSecure vs. Ashland University

Individuals using the Ashland University wireless network will see two network options offered – AUSecure and Ashland University. Here are the differences:

• AUSecure is encrypted and authenticated via WPA2 Enterprise Encryption – used for laptops, netbooks, tablets, iPads, etc. that support WPA2 Enterprise Encryption.
• AshlandUniversity is unencrypted, and must be logged in to each time they connect – used for consumer devices that do not support WPA2 Enterprise Encryption (i.e. PS3, Wii, Xbox and many Android smartphones).
