Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery Sets Senior Art Exhibition

10/18/12 ASHLAND, Ohio - The Coburn Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Department of Art at Ashland University, will host the “Senior Art Exhibition Fall 2012,” an exhibition showcasing the work of three senior art majors from the Class of 2012.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibition will be on view from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, 2012.

The final show of the seniors’ undergraduate careers, “Senior Art Exhibition” represents the culmination of their artistic efforts and accomplishments over the past four years as students of ceramics, digital art and sculpture.

The show will feature the works of Molly Livengood, a senior from Medina, who will receive a bachelor of science in art education – ceramics; Denise Gillette, a senior from Elyria, who will receive a bachelor of arts in digital art; and Elizabeth Patrick, a senior from Troy, who will receive a bachelor of science in art education – sculpture. All three seniors will graduate at winter commencement on Dec. 15, 2012.

The students also worked together to design the publicity materials and to promote the opening of their show as emerging artists in the community.

The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and is free and open to the public. For more information about the reception or exhibition, call 419.289.5652 or visit the Gallery on Facebook.
