Computer users using version 8 of the Internet Explorer (IE) browser may see a message when accessing Gmail stating that this version if IE is no longer supported and you need to download and install the Google Chrome browser. This is because starting November 15th Google will no longer support IE version 8. According to the Google site:
Google Calendar will display in read-only mode, Gmail users will be redirected to the basic HTML interface and in Docs, drawings and presentations won't display properly. These are just a few examples listed as functions that won’t work.
Computers with Windows 7 and most of the Windows XP systems have the Google Chrome browser. If you don’t have Google Chrome installed please call the Technical Support Center at ext. 5405 or 866-434-5222 or put a service ticket in at kbox.it.ashland.edu.
