10/31/12 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University will hold a 30-minute Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. on the University’s Quad.
Dr. Michael Hudson, associate professor of geology, will speak about "The Value of Service" at this event, which is being sponsored by the new Ashland University Chapter of Student Veterans of America. Ashley Miklas, president of the Ashland University Chapter of Student Veterans of America, will introduce Hudson.
The event will include a welcome from Ashland University President Dr. Fred Finks, a closing from Ashland University Provost Dr. Frank Pettigrew, an invocation from ATS professor Bill Payne and a flag raising ceremony involving veterans on the Ashland University campus.
