Ashland University English Department Sets Spring Reading Series

3/4/13 ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ashland University English Department has set its Spring 2013 Reading Series that will feature a fiction reading by Bill Roorbach on March 25 and a nonfiction reading by Diana Hume George on April 15.

Roorbach is the author of eight books, including the Flannery O'Connor Prize and O. Henry Prize winner “Big Bend.” He has taught at the University of Maine at Farmington, Colby College and Ohio State University. He now denotes his time to writing full time. His other books include “Into Woods,” “Temple Stream” and “Life Among Giants.”

George is on the faculty of Goucher College's low residency MFA program in Nonfiction and professor of English Emerita at Penn State at Erie. Her personal essays and interviews have appeared in River Teeth, Creative Nonfiction, Best American Essays and Missouri Review. She is the author of “The Lonely Other,” “The Family Track,” “A Genesis” and “Phantom Breast.”
