What's Happening at Ashland University

Millions of people across the globe have captured the Christmas spirit thanks to the electronic Christmas cards that have been distributed by Ashland University since 2001.

“We get thousands of replies from people all over the world who have viewed the cards,” said Steve Hannan, director of public relations at Ashland University. “They vary from a simple ‘thank you’ to some remarkable stories of how the cards have brought back a special Christmas memory.”

“I believe a great mental game is what separates the elite baseball players from the rest,” according to Dr. Curt Ickes, clinical and sport psychologist and Ashland University associate professor of psychology.

Dr. Jane Piirto, trustees’ distinguished professor in the Dwight Schar College of Education at Ashland University, has been selected as the 2010 NAGC Distinguished Scholar by the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). The Distinguished Scholar award is the NAGC’s highest honor.
