  • Ashland Theological Seminary Sets Community Christmas Chapel

    12/2/12 ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland Theological Seminary will hold its Community Christmas Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 9:30 a.m. in the Ronk Memorial Chapel on the Ashland Seminary campus at 910 Center St.

    “We would like to invite our friends and neighbors to join us for our annual Community Christmas Chapel Service as we usher in the holiday season with a special time of celebrating the birth of our King,” said William Gravitt, director of development for Ashland Theological Seminary.

  • Community Concert Band, University Wind Ensemble & Jazz Orchestra Perform Winter Festival Concert

    11/28/12 Ashland, OH – The Ashland Area Community Concert Band (AACCB), Ashland University Wind Ensemble and Ashland University Jazz Orchestra will present their annual Winter Festival Concert on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the University’s Hugo Young Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public.

  • Young Philanthropy Inspires New Giving Campaign

    On Oct. 11, Ashland University President Frederick J. Finks recognized two young boys at the annual Founders Dinner, held in the John C. Myers Convocation Center. Luke, 9, and Jack Pomfret, 7, sons of Associate Vice President of University Campaigns & Government Relations Margaret Pomfret, had made a donation to the University from money they received operating a lemonade stand earlier in the summer. The donation was $8.47.

  • Ashland University Dietetics Student Has Article Published in National Organization Newsletter

    11/15/12 ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland University’s Brittany Cermak, a sophomore majoring in dietetics from Parma, Ohio, had an article printed in the Student Scoop Newsletter published by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). This is the national organization that administers the accreditation of the dietetics program at Ashland University.

    Brittany CermakCermak is the daughter of James and Mary Ann Cermak of Parma and she is a 2011 graduate of Normandy High School.

  • Ashland University Completes Campus Waste Audit

    11/13/12 ASHLAND, Ohio - On Friday, Nov. 9, Ashland University participated in an all-campus waste audit to determine how many recyclables are being thrown out in the University’s trash. This event was held in celebration of America Recycles Day and it provided an awareness of recycling on campus.

  • Undefeated Eagles Win GLIAC, Get NCAA Bid and First Round Bye

    The Ashland University football team is going to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the fifth time in school history and the first time since 2008. The NCAA announced the 24-team field on Sunday (Nov. 11) and the Eagles are the second seed in Super Region 4.

    11/9/12 ASHLAND, Ohio – Tickets are still available for Ashland University’s fall Christian concert that will feature Christian rock band Hawk Nelson and opening artist Adam Cappa. The concert, sponsored by the Ashland University Center of Religious Life, will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in Hugo Young Theatre, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
