  • Ashland University Accounting Student Receives Scholarships

    Ashland University junior Emily Intagliata, an accounting major, has received both a national and a state scholarship from the Institute of Management Accountants. Intagliata received a $2,500 national scholarship from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) for the 2011-12 academic year and a $1,500 scholarship from the Ohio Council of IMA.

    Intagliata, a 2008 graduate of Bluffton High School, is the daughter of Karen and Stephen Intagliata of Bluffton.

  • Ashland University Kicker/Punter Comes Home with Medal

    Ashland University kicker and punter Gregg Berkshire was an important part of Team USA that captured the gold medal in the International Federation of American Football Senior World Championships. Berkshire, who will be a senior with the Eagles this season, helped Team USA to its 4-0 record in the tournament.

  • Ashland University’s Kris Hovsepian Inducted into Hall of Fame

    Kris Hovsepian, assistant professor of marketing at Ashland University, has been inducted into the Sam Walton Fellow Hall of Fame for the work she has done with Ashland University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).

    Hovsepian has served as the adviser to the SIFE group at Ashland University since 1991. The group has captured first place in regional competition nine times out of the last 19 years.

    Brittany Dennis, associate director of the SIFE USA Programs Department, noted the significance of the induction.

  • Ashland University Receives $1.58 Million HRSA Grant for College of Nursing

    Ashland University has received a $1.58 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for “Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention” at the university. One hundred percent of the Ashland University project will be financed with federal grant dollars from HRSA.

  • Ashland University Groups Team Up with Our Town Studios

    The Ashland University Art Club and Coburn Gallery have teamed up with Creative Foundations/Our Town Studios in Mount Vernon to have its artists create paintings on reusable shopping bags. These bags will be distributed by the Art Club during the annual Ashland University kickoff picnic in August.

  • Ashland University Graduate Presents ‘Meet the Entrepreneur’

    A business program co-sponsored by the new Ashland University Eagle Entrepreneurs student organization and the Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies featured Tony Madalone, an Ashland University graduate and president of his own company.

    Madalone, who has two degrees from Ashland University -- a bachelor of science in business administration degree in 2007 and an MBA degree in 2009, spoke to students, faculty and members of the community in the Ridenour Room of the Dauch College of Business and Economics.
