What's Happening at Ashland University

The Ashland University Dwight Schar College of Education, the lead U.S. university in collaboration with Georgetown College and Brigham Young University, has been awarded a $249,091 grant from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) International Program.

A grand opening ribbon cutting and education fair for the new Grove City Center for Higher Education was held Tuesday at the South-Western Career Academy and a number of Ashland University officials were in attendance.

The Coburn Art Gallery at Ashland University will be hosting an art exhibition titled “Contemporary Painting,” which will feature artists Elizabeth Snipes, Joseph Morzuch and Benjamin Duke.

Ashland University President Dr. Frederick Finks took a look back and a look forward during his address “Retaining the Past/Re-envisioning the Future” to faculty, staff and administrators during the University’s all-institutional meeting Monday afternoon in Hugo Young Theatre.
