What is an RSS Feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
is a file format used to distribute Web content. The Ashland University
RSS Feeds are a way to get the latest news delivered directly to
you. The headlines are provided in the feed with links back to the
full-text article on our website.
How do I get the RSS Feed?
- If using Firefox, click the RSS feed link, the following "Add Bookmark" window will appear. Make sure to add this to your "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder"
- If using
Internet Explorer (version 7), click the link and you will be given the option to add the feed to your "Live Bookmarks".

- Once the RSS Feed has been added, you will see the Feed in your toolbar
If you do not have Firefox or IE7,
you will need an RSS reader (also called a news reader).
Find
an RSS Reader on Google Once you have your
RSS Reader setup, follow
these steps:
- Copy the feed address above.
- Paste the address into the "Add News Feed" option of the application
you are using.
