Counseling Service- provides counseling for social, personal, and academic issues, crisis intervention and retention referrals, assistance with student research projects, academic assistance, advanced memory training, accelerated learning techniques, assistance with graduate school test preparation, and personal testing services.
Dietetics Club- hosts nutrition-related events on topics like freshman 15, late night snacking, caffeine, energy drinks, supplements. Nutrition Newsletter with the latest research related to nutrition. The club broadcasts over 30 public service announcements daily over WRDL and has a bulletin board located in the hallway in the Rybolt Sport Science Center.
Exercise Science- The ES Club is open to all ES majors and provides fitness testing and exercise prescriptions, as well as stress relaxation techniques.
Lifetime Wellness Classes- look for information on the bulletin board across from classroom 230 in the Rybolt Sport Science Center.
PPOW- is a peer educator organnization that provides presentations to the campus community about health and wellness issues faced by today's college student, including but not limited to sleep and nutrition, alcohol, sexual health, drugs and tobacco. PPOW also provides health and wellness programming and activities throughout the semester to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Rec Center- Did You Know Facts on cardio machines, Fit Facts on bathroom stalls, Wellness Resource Center (located in teh atrium and women's locker room), Eat This Not That & Phone Apps on the bulletin board in the academic hallway, and on thePPOW bulletin board
Religious Life- The Center of Religious Life seeks to help students to "live the Christian life in the real world." To do so, along with several annual campus-wide convocations, it offers three weekly services: Catholic Mass; the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA); and the Well (a contemporary worship gathering). Additionally, the Fellowship of Christian Nurses offers regular meetings and activities for nursing students. Religious Life also offers small groups throughout the week to help students grow in their faith, along with two retreats each year, short term mission trips to both domestic and international locations, and outreach opportunities to the campus, the community, and cities nearby. The Center of Religious Life also provides a program for students considering a vocation in ministry (the Call), along with opportunities to explore both service and leadership in a wide variety of settings.
Student Health Center- Student Health provides treatment of minor illness and injuries, consultations and referrals, flu shots blood pressure checks, assistance with student insurance claims, sports medicine and women’s health appointments, Health Assessments for Lifetime Wellness classes. Patient education is a key component to each visit to Student Health.
