Extreme Career Makeover

The Extreme Career Makeover was an award-winning program conducted by the Career Services Center which gave one selected student a complete career makeover, including coaching on professional interviewing, resume assistance, job search strategies, and wardrobe and appearance preparation for interviewing.

Although the program has been discontinued, the vast majority of the benefits of the program are available to every Ashland University student at any time.

• Set an appointment or walk in during walk-in resume review hours to get some assistance with your resume or cover letter.
• Attend a workshop on interviewing skills or job search strategies.
• Schedule a mock interview for a job you would like to have.
• Join SOAR to be connected with a professional in your area of career interest/major.
• Free portfolios are still given away to the winner of the Intern of the Month program each month.

The winner of this event, one selected Ashland University student, received:

• A free business suit, tailored to fit, complete with shoes and accessories
• Free portfolio
• Free salon services
• Interviewing, networking and internship assistance from our Career Specialists
• Resume and cover letter assistance
• Lunch with a professional in their area of study/major
• Campus wide recognition!
