Transfer Policies
Ashland University accepts credits earned at accredited four-year
and two-year institutions; 32 hours must be earned from Ashland
University. Sixty hours must come from a four-year institution.
Credit:
Basic Nursing Education Experience
Satisfactory performance in the first clinical course and its
prerequisites is considered demonstration of the foundation for
progression in the professional nursing program. At that time
30 semester hours of credit will be added to the Ashland University
transcript.
Credit by Examination
Credit in selected general education, science, and nursing courses
can be earned through satisfactory completion of teacher-made
examinations, proficiency process, and through College Level Examination
Program examinations.
Academic Advising
A nursing faculty advisor assists students to plan a course of
study compatible with personal and professional needs. The adviser
is available regularly to discuss scheduling concerns and facilitate
continued progression in the program.
