Ashland University offers a variety of Professional Development online instructional formats that respond to the individual learning style, personal schedule, and interest of the student. All of the classes meet the University’s criteria for graduate credit. However, due to the diversity in formats and content that are available, participants are encouraged to notify their district prior to enrolling in a class. Participating organizations include:

Professional development for raising reading achievement for K-12 teachers and administrators.SMART Consortium Classes:
SMART is a consortium of 52 school districts in NE Ohio dedicated to continual improvement in science and mathematics learning.
TeacherOnline provides online professional development opportunities for K-12 educators who offer
instruction in a variety of content areas.
Virtual Education Software, Inc. (VESi) is multimedia, interactive two and three credit courseware designed around current educational topics and teaching processes.
WVIZ/PBS Online Classes:
Two and three credit content and instructional strategy classes created by the Public Broadcasting System (PBS).
