Many students undertake a Criminal Justice field experience during their junior or senior year. These experiences may include work in the detective division of a police department, assisting a probation or parole officer, helping out in the juvenile courts or even interning within the federal government.

Gangs and Cults — Examine the historical and contemporary issues of gangs and cults in the United States including gang and cult recruitment, subculture, beliefs, activities, signs and symbols.
Juvenile Delinquency - In this course students examine the field of juvenile delinquency and status offenders including such issues as why one becomes delinquent, families, schools, and the juvenile court system.
Role of Police in Modern Society — Explore the role, behavior and life of the line officer within the police subculture and within society.
