While the IS program includes case studies or developing solutions to fictional business challenges, the fun and experience comes from real projects IS majors take on for real companies who seek our help.

Faculty supervises and mentor student teams on these projects, which yield great results. For example, students in the Advanced Systems Development course created an order entry, quoting, purchasing and inventory tracking system for Ohio Electric Control’s operation that:

• Enhanced customer services
• Expedited order entry
• Reduced in-plant inventory
