Career Outlook for Life Science Education Majors

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics,1 the career prospects for teachers over the next 10 years are expected to be quite positive, particularly for those entering the fields of math, science and bilingual education. Growth of 12 percent is anticipated between 2006 and 2016. Part of this career growth will come from the large number of teacher retirements that are anticipated within the next few years. What students say about Ashland

“I have been impressed by Ashland University’s science programs because I have been able to get hands-on lab experience beginning my first semester of my freshman year. And I like that the professors are in the lab with me for one-on-one interaction. I like the willingness of the professors to be hands-on and be available for help when I need it.” -- Karie Charlton, Jelloway, Ohio
