A growing number of international students apply each year to pursue their theological education at Ashland Seminary. Because of limited resources for financial aid only a certain number of students can be accepted. In order to make our decision, several things must be taken into consideration:

1. Is the student currently involved in a church ministry in his or her own country?
2. Has the student taken advantage of the theological education available in the native country?
3. Is there promise that the student will return to his or her country and make a significant contribution to the ministry of Christ?
4. Does the student give evidence of adequate knowledge and the ability to proficiently use the English language?
5. Does the student possess adequate qualifications to pursue graduate level studies?
6. Does the student possess adequate financial resources to live and study in the United States?

Ashland Theological Seminary requires that an applicant have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited undergraduate institution with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 (a student with a lower GPA will be placed on 24 hours of academic probation).
