| When asked what excites Tami about her job she said, "Garnier provides consumer products that offer innovation and technology at an affordable price to the consumer. Bringing those new items to my customer and creating a go to market strategy that creates results is exciting. Knowing that the products I sell have been heavily researched and are filling a need in the current market place makes my job both rewarding and fun." Tami goes on to tell us, "It is also exciting to work for a company like Garnier and the parent company L'Oreal CPD. There are many divisions and career opportunities within the organization if you are not afraid to move to a new challenge. I have had the ability to work my way up from an entry level sales representative to a national account manager all while with the same organization." | |
| Advice
for AU Students |
| "Don't be afraid to look at all the options available when job searching. I never dreamed I would like a sales job, but having ventured out of my comfort zone 8 years ago, I continue to move up within the company to new roles and responsibilities. It has been a rewarding career and I love the new opportunities offered to me because I am flexible and willing to take on a new challenge." Some job search tips that Tami offered are as follows, "Network, network, network. Your friends have parents that may know of openings within your profession, just ask! Don't turn down interviews because you think you know what you are looking for. Getting your foot in the door is just the first step. If you are not chosen for that position, or it is not the right fit, the company will keep you in mind for future openings if you ask! Keep a list of contacts so that you have the beginning list to reference in the future. A company that does not interest you today may be a perfect fit in a few years." |
