Committees are vital to the efficient operation of our
chapter.
Please note the following Committee Chairs and notify an officer
if willing to serve on a committee or be a Committee Chairperson. The
officers of Rho Nu are obligated to assume the duties of committees
when these positions are not filled by chapter members. Please note
the three vacancies for the following committes and committee chairs:
FUND RAISING, PUBLICITY/NEWSLETTER, AND RESEARCH.
BYLAWS COMMITTEE: Janet Boeckman, Chair
The committee shall consider, edit, and/or correlate
amendments to the Bylaws.
FINANCE COMMITTEE: Loretta Cornell, Chair
The committee is responsible for preparing an annual budget that meets
the goals and program activities of the chapter.
MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE: Deanie Damron-Kehres, Chair
The committee is responsible for promoting membership renewals and involvement and coordinating new
member orientation activities.
CHAPTER HERITAGE/ARCHIVE COMMITTEE: Helen Kline, Chair
The committee is responsible in preservation of committee
meeting minutes, collection and preservation of statistics, documents
and any other information of historical significance concerning the
chapter. Will maintain and update a written history of the chapter.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE: Judy Culler, Chair
The committee is responsible to oversee the selection of well-qualified members who can provide the
necessary leadership to achieve chapter goals and to meet the needs
of chapter members.
CHAPTER AWARDS COMMITTEE: Janice Fries, Chair
The committee is responsible in developing, reviewing, revising criteria
and funding for recognition awards and scholarships.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Kelly Gray, Chair
The committee will be responsible for the programs
of the chapter including the induction ceremony and at least two programs
of a scholarly nature held during each fiscal year.
CHAPTER FUND RAISING COMMITTEE: VACANT
The committee will collaborate with the Finance Committee
to evaluate chapter income sources, and determine financial needs above
and beyond collection of member fees. The committee will implement projects
and events that increase funds as well as the visibility of the chapter.
PUBLICITY/NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE: VACANT
The committee will develop and implement strategies that promote and maintain chapter visibility in
the community. The committee will develop and publish the chapter newsletter,
develop content for chapter display at Biennial Conventions and confer
with the chapter web master and assist in getting information disseminated
via the web site.
CHAPTER RESEARCH COMMITTEE: VACANT
The committee will develop, review and revise criteria for research awards and the funding
of research grants. The committee will develop strategies for promoting
the conduct of research and for the dissemination and utilization of
research findings.
