Wyoming State Hospital

WSH is a psychiatric facility for the state of Wyoming. WSH recently opened a new 45 bed acute facility. In addition, the WSH provides programs for adolescents, the criminal justice services, long term care, geratrics and out patient services. Clients are treated for the major psychiatric disorders of schizophrenia, bi-polar and major depression. Recreational Therapy is an intregal part of the client's treatment. Currently there are seven full time and one part time CTRS's providing services to the clients. The RT Departments internship program has been in place since 1997. Typically, there are two to three RT interns at the facility each semester. WSH is an excellent facility to obtain experience in a clinical setting.
