Hi! My name is Megan Sherar and I grew up in Richland County where I attended Mansfield City Schools. I graduated from Ashland University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Social Studies, Secondary Education.
Working with students to help them pursue their goals and reach their full potential is my passion in life. While attending Ashland University, I was involved in many campus activities and organizations such as Intramurals, Greek Life, Orientation Team, and Community Service. I chose to attend Ashland University for many reasons (academics, student programming, beautiful campus, etc.), but what really stands out to me are the words in our Mission Statement, “Ashland University educates and challenges students to develop intellectually and ethically, to seek wisdom and justice, and to prepare for the rigors of living and working as citizens aware of their global responsibilities.” Very powerful words and that’s exactly what Ashland University did for me. Although the Campus Creed and Mission Statement are the foundation of the University, I believe the people are what truly define it.
You MUST visit! I hope that you will love Ashland University as much as I do.
