Jan is Ashland University’s chief marketing officer. Leading the University Communications and Marketing department (UCM) within the Division of Enrollment Management and Marketing, she oversees the integrated marketing and communications strategies carried out by the marketing liaisons, graphic design services, web services and public relations. Under this leadership, the efforts of UCM enhance the image, reputation, and success of Ashland University.
Jan has been leading marketing and branding efforts in the public and private sectors for more than 20 years. Before joining Ashland University, Jan was the Assistant Vice President for Marketing at Florida Atlantic University, a multi-location, multi-college public institution of more than 29,000 students. During her tenure at FAU, Jan was a key leader in a rebranding initiative, website redesign and several nationally recognized events such as the 2008 National GOP Presidential Debate and a visit from His Holiness, the Dalai Lama of Tibet.
In her first year as Ashland University’s Director of Communications and Marketing, Jan has reorganized the department to produce greater efficiencies, improved internal communications and is leading a website redesign and other major initiatives. She believes in the education that Ashland University offers its students and values what each member of her team brings to the Ashland University experience.
