Helping students succeed has been my passion throughout all of my careers. I began my career as an elementary teacher for eight years and then served as an elementary principal for 22 years. I came to Ashland University four years ago. During the first two years, I was a professional advisor in the College of Education. Currently, I am the Director of Student Success and Retention and have been in this position for two years.
I most enjoy working with our students. Our students are motivated, goal-oriented, respectful and energetic. My interests include bicycling, reading, traveling and spending time with my family.
I believe that students should explore their dreams during their college years. A favorite quote of mine from Walt Disney states, “If you can dream it, you can do it!”
