4-28-08

A jacket and a couple of other articles were reportedly stolen from a display in Miller Hall.

4-23-08

A resident student reported his backpack was stolen during a party at an off-campus residence.

 

Art Gallery staff reported the theft of part of an art project on display in the Gallery.

4-22-08

A resident student reported she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend.

 

The owner of a vehicle parked in the Clayton lot reported vandalism to his vehicle.  Two indentations were made on the passenger side of his vehicle.

A resident student reported the license plates were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the Fraternity lot.

 

Students in an Amstutz room were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

4-18-08

A Kem resident reported a theft of clothing and personal items from her room.

 

A Kilhefner resident was documented for a drug violation.  The resident was also issued a summons by the Ashland City Police.

A female resident student reported she was harassed by a group of male resident students while walking by Bixler Hall.

4-14-08

A contractor’s vehicle in the Maintenance parking lot struck a vehicle in the lot.

4-12-08 The emergency squad responded to a student who was injured in his room.  The student refused transport.
4-11-08 Students reported an assault in the Samaritan lot.  The subjects, all students, were returning from a local club.  The altercation was initiated from an incident that happened earlier in the evening.
4-07-08 A student fainted while in class in the Dauch building.  She was transported back to her room.

An Amstutz resident reported vandalism to his room door.

 

A Kilhefner resident who had reportedly consumed alcohol and drugs was arrested by the Ashland City Police after a disturbance in which he was involved.

 

An Amstutz hall resident reported another resident walked into his room and went to sleep.  The intruder was disoriented as to what room he was in.

A student in Amstutz Hall was found to be in violation of the alcohol policy.

 

An Amstutz resident reported his laptop was stolen from his room.  The room was reportedly unlocked.

 

A Clayton resident reported her vehicle was damaged in a hit/sip accident while parked in the Clayton lot.

4-02-08 A resident student reported his vehicle sustained vandalism while parked in the Field House parking lot.  The owner reported his tire was slashed.
3-30-08

A Kem fire alarm was activated by a smoke detector triggered by a hair straighter.

3-25-08

An Amstutz fire alarm was activated by smoke from burning food in the oven.

3-24-08

A Servant Leadership house resident was transported to the hospital due to illness.

Unknown subjects drove the convocation utility cart into the woods behind fraternity circle and the AU tennis courts.

The owner of a vehicle parked in the gym lot reported items stolen from his vehicle.  The vehicle was reported unlocked.

A motor vehicle accident was reported in the Andrews Parking lot.

A Clark resident reported smoke in the elevator hallway of the third floor of Clark.  The alarm was also pulled.  The smoke was from a microwave fire in the third floor lounge.  The fire department extinguished the fire.

Students in an Amstutz room were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

 

A couple of female resident students in Amstutz Hall reported an unknown male entered the restroom, entered a stall to relieve himself and then exited the restroom.

3-01-08

The driver of an AU van reported the vehicle sustained slight damage from a hit and run accident.

2-28-08

A student reported vandalism to his vehicle parked in the Field House parking lot.

 

Unknown suspects were shooting paint-balls from Kilhefner hall.  A couple of vehicles driving along King Road were reportedly struck.

 

One Jacobs resident and two of his non AU guests were arrested for a drug violation.  The three were reportedly smoking marijuana in the Jacobs room.

2-27-08

A student in a Kettering class reportedly had a seizure.  The student recovered quickly and was able to attend her next scheduled class.

2-21-08 Students in an Amstutz room were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

A student reported vandalism to her vehicle parked in the Field House parking lot.

2-16-08

Two female Amstutz residents reported they were being harassed by a male resident student.

2-15-08

Vandalism was reported in the Amstutz elevator. Unknown subjects wrote on the walls in the elevator.

 

A female resident student reported harassment by a male non-student.  The male non-student left campus.

2-14-08

Safety Services responded to a call for a female resident student having a seizure.  The same student experienced seizures the previous two days as well.

A Kem fire alarm was activated by smoke from burning food.

2-12-08

A female resident student reported she was sexually assaulted by a male non-student at an off-campus house.

 

A seminary resident student was documented for inappropriate behavior involving possibly downloading material onto his computer.
2-12-08

A sprinkler head malfunctioned in a senior apartment balcony.  Water was spraying from the broken sprinkler head onto the balcony. 

 

A sanitary napkin dispenser in a woman’s restroom in the College of Education was tampered with.  Damage to the inside of the unit is unknown.

2-11-08

The emergency squad was summoned to respond to assist a student who had a seizure while in a class in the College of Education.

Unknown vandals broke glass in a door in Senior Apartment A.

2-07-08 Officers responded to a disturbance in Kem Hall.  A Kem resident was having an argument with a male resident student.  The male student was escorted from the building.

A resident student was found to be in violation of the visitation policy while at the TKE house.

2-01-08

APD stopped a vehicle in the Patterson lot for suspicion of involvement in an off-campus incident.  None of the suspects were AU students.  No citations were issued.

1-29-08 An adjunct professor was transported to the emergency room.  The professor was ill.

The squad was called to respond to a call for an ill student who fainted while in class in A&H.

A Kilhefner resident was found to be in violation of the alcohol policy.

 

An Amstutz resident and his guest were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

1-26-08

Students in a Clayton room were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

 

An Amstutz fire alarm was activated by smoke from burning food in a third floor oven.  The alarm was cleared.

1-21-08

A Jacobs Resident was found to be in violation of the drug policy.  The resident had marijuana in his room.  APD was called and cited the student.

Vandals broke the glass in a Clayton entry door.

1-14-08 An AU resident student was found to be in violation of the alcohol policy.  The student also was using a fake ID from a different state.
1-08-08

An Andrews fire alarm was activated by smoke from a worker soldering near a smoke detector.

1-08-08 Skateboarders were reported on the seminary grounds.
12-02-07

A Myers resident reported a former AU student was attempting to contact her roommate.  There was a reported conflict between her roommate and the individual attempting the contact.

11-30-07

An Amstutz resident reported a laptop stolen from his room.

 

The emergency squad was summoned to Dauch to respond to a call of an ill student in a class.  The student did not require going to the hospital.

11-29-07 A student who fainted in a Kettering classroom refused transport to the hospital.

A suspicious male, non-student, was reportedly in Kilhefner Hall. Safety Services officer checked the building.  The suspicious male was not found and no other reports of this individual were submitted.

A Jacobs resident reported his IPod was stolen from his room.  He later called back to report it found.

A fire alarm in Dauch was activated by a faulty smoke/heat detector.

A Convo worker reported money was stolen from her purse.

 

A dark green, long sleeved cloak was reported stolen from Redwood Hall.  The floor length garment was to be used for the International Fashion Show.

                 

A reportedly ill student was transported to the hospital

A resident student reported harassment directed to her by another resident student.  The incident was referred to the residence life staff.

An Amstutz fire alarm was activated when vandals discharged a fire extinguisher on one of the floors in the hall.

Students in a Myers room were found to be in violation of the visitation policy.

11-06-07 A student worker in the Eagles’ Nest was transported to the hospital due to illness.

A Myers resident reported her room key stolen.

11-01-07

A chair in the HCSC fireplace lounge was vandalized.  Someone appeared to cut the fabric on one of the arms.

 

A seminary student reported items stolen from her purse during a break in her class.

10-31-07

A Clark resident was transported to the hospital due to illness.

A sign for the Bixler Parking lot was reported stolen.

10-29-07 A resident student was cited for being a chronic traffic offender.

At 1:00 a.m. the Safety Services dispatcher observed two individuals checking vehicle doors in the Samaritan lot.  An officer was dispatched to investigate.  The two subjects fled when the officer approached a vehicle that they entered (the vehicle was unlocked).  The owner of the vehicle reported some CD’s were taken from inside the vehicle.

Students reported a person on the quad wearing a Halloween type mask.  The subject followed the students to the Bixler parking lot.

 

An Eagles’ Nest employee reported money stolen from her purse.

10-20-07

A walkway light stanchion in the Samaritan lot had the anchor bolts removed and the pole was laying on its side in the lot.

 

The emergency squad was called to the intramural field because of a reported injury to a rugby player on an apposing team.  The victim refused transport.

 

A student reported his credit card missing from his belongings in

the field house.  There was a wrestling event going on at the

time.

An Amstutz resident was documented for being classified as a

chronic offender of the parking regulations.  The resident has

accumulated several parking violations.

 

A Clark resident who reportedly was ill was transported to the

emergency room.

10-15-07 A Clark resident was transported to the hospital due to illness.

A Jacobs room was entered and searched for a possible drug

violation.  Residence Life staff and Safety Services officers found

marijuana order coming from a room.  The residents of the room

were not in the room.  A pellet gun and alcohol containers were

found in the room.

An AU student staying in an AU resident hall was transported to the emergency room after becoming ill.  Alcohol was not believed to be involved.

 

Safety Services received a report of marijuana use in a Jacobs’s room.  The residents in the room were not there at the time and no marijuana was found.  There was a very strong odor of marijuana in the room along with alcohol containers and a pellet gun.

 

A resident of a Senior Apartment reported her door appeared to be broken as a result of vandalism or possible forced entry.  The door appeared to be kicked.

An intoxicated resident student who was very ill was transported to the emergency room by the emergency squad.

Six vehicles parked in the Samaritan Parking lot were vandalized at 3:25 am Friday morning.  Vandals broke off a vehicle’s antenna, and struck the windows of the six vehicles.  The suspects are possible AU resident students.  Anyone with any information about this vandalism is encouraged to call the Safety Services office.

A student who injured herself in a fall outside the Physical Education building was transported to the hospital.

10-02-07 A Kilhefner resident was cited by Ashland City Police for possession of marijuana.  The resident had the marijuana in his room.

A resident student reported receiving harassing phone calls on

her cell phone.

 

An Amstutz fire alarm was activated by smoke from workers

soldering pipes.

 

A student became ill during a class in A&H.  The emergency

squad was called to respond.

Vandalism was reported to the men’s restroom in the Student Center.

 Vandals discharged a fire extinguisher in the lobby of Amstutz Hall.

A utility vehicle ran into a University van parked behind the Student Center.

A student in a Rec Center classroom was reportedly having a seizure.  The victim did not require transport.

9-17-07

A vehicle in the Samaritan and a vehicle in the Clayton lot sustained minor damage from vandals.  The time of the incident is unknown.

Vandals discharged an extinguisher in Kilhefner Hall.

A doorjamb in Jacobs Hall sustained damage when an unknown person attempted to kick open the door.

9-10-07

Safety Services was called to respond to an ill student in Amstutz Hall.  The student did not require any medical treatment.

9-06-07

A library worker reported an elderly male patron was asking inappropriate questions.  The subject was described as a male in his 90’s wearing a ball cap with US Postal Service on the cap.  The subject reportedly had white hair and was 5’5” to 5’6” tall.

A resident student was transported to the hospital after complaining of breathing problems.  The resident was transported back to campus after being released.

An AU Convo worker who reportedly fell in the kitchen area was transported to the hospital by the emergency squad.
