The safety and security of all guests and members of our campus community are extremely important to us at Ashland University. With the coordinated efforts of other departments, the Ashland University Safety Services Department is committed to our goal of providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty and staff so that all may work toward their desired objectives. This guide is provided to you so that you may share our commitment to the security of our campus community. While Ashland University, located in the rural community of Ashland, is fortunate to be in an area that enjoys a relatively low crime rate, we encourage guests and members of the campus community to become involved and take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. As crime can happen anywhere, we encourage those within the campus community to not be complacent with their safety. This guide is prepared by the Safety Services Department to inform the campus community of our policies and to provide resources so that you may help in providing for your safety and the safety of others.
