About Student Senate

Student Senate Duties Include:
  • Passing and enacting any legislation in pursuit of the purpose and objectives established by the Student Senate.
  • Presenting issues of interest or concern to the student body, in addition to acting as a student voice to the University administration.
  • Establishing and maintaining an allocation process of student activity fees.
  • Chartering of all campus organizations.
  • Establishing and mainting a Publications Board to oversee the campus newspaper and yearbook.
  • Interacting with and taking part in faculty and administrative decisions.
  • Class Advisory Boards.

Membership Qualifications:

Election Process

     All campus elections for the executive cabinet and the class senators are held in the spring prior to the academic year for which they are elected. All freshman senators are elected in the fall.
