Services for Employers

Thank you for your interest in recruiting Ashland University candidates. We are eager to help you meet your organization’s recruiting needs. The Career Services team seeks to develop Powerful Partnerships with employers through the following offerings:

Post Job Opportunities on AU Career Connect

The Career Services team welcomes you to post career opportunities to AU Career Connect, our web-based job and internship posting system. For instructions on how to post available employment opportunities in AU Career Connect, please refer to the AU Career Connect Employer Guide.

Please note, AU Career Connect is reserved for paid positions.

If you have questions concerning AU Career Connect or options for posting volunteer opportunities, please contact Alicia Shoemake, Employer Relations Coordinator, via email or telephone, at ashoema5@ashland.edu or 419.289.5064.

Attend Ashland University Career Fairs

Our semi-annual Career Fairs are open to employers recruiting for full-time and part-time jobs and internships, as well as graduate schools from all academic areas and professional fields. The first-ever fall Career Fair, in 2012, was attended by approximately 350 students, while the spring Career Fair averages about 250 students.

Meet the Accountant Night

Our annual Meet the Accountant Night takes place in September and is open to organizations seeking accounting interns and/or full-time accountants. Approximately 40-50 accounting majors attend this specialized accounting Career Fair each year.

Employer Information Session

Host an information session, recommended 30 minutes to one hour in duration, during which you will present to students about your organization and available employment opportunities.  This option can take place in person or via Skype.

Meet and Greet Session

Arrange a Meet and Greet event that operates as an informal career fair specific to your organization. Students submit their resumes to you for consideration as you converse with them, in person or via Skype, about your organization. Meet and Greet events usually last an hour to an hour and a half.

Prescheduled One-On-One Interviews

  1. Contact the Career Services Center to determine an on-campus interview date and application deadline for the position(s) for which you are recruiting.
  2. Career Services promotes the opportunity to students, collects applicant resumes and submits collected resumes to you for review on the application deadline date.
  3. After you inform Career Services of your interview selections, Career Services arranges an interview schedule for the predetermined interview date.

Information Table in High Traffic Student Center Location

Staff an information table in the lobby of the Hawkins-Conard Student Center, typically over the lunch hours (11 a.m.–1 p.m.), to talk with students passing by about available employment opportunities with your organization.

Consortium Career Fair Events
