Service

Each fraternity and sorority has a philanthropic project designated for their inter/national organization.  In 2012, Ashland University Greeks raised nearly $37,000 for their individual chapter philanthropic causes.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

In addition to participating in individual chapter’s philanthropic and community service efforts, the Greek community has adopted the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the community philanthropy. Greek students comprise the Up ‘til Dawn Executive Board and work to promote awareness and fundraise for the organization. Since beginning work with St. Jude in 2008, the Greek community, with the support of the AU community, has raised over $175,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

Community Service

Ashland University Greeks engaged in over 5,500 hours of community service in 2012.  While some organizations mandate a minimum amount of hours necessary, most Greek students perform many more than the requirement.  With service as a founding principle of Greek organizations, Ashland University Greek students gladly serve the surrounding community.
