Intramural Sports

The mission of the Ashland University Intramural Sports program is to provide a variety of organized recreational sports and activities in a safe environment to the Ashland University Community. The goal of the program is to provide participants with the opportunity to enhance physical fitness, build social networks, practice good sportsmanship and enjoy their time outside the classroom.

The IM Sports & Special Events program is available to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff members.  A multitude of sport and leisure activity opportunities are all offered for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. All IM Sports are free as well as incorporate Sportsmanship Ratings to ensure an enjoyable playing atmosphere.

Participants not on a team may contact the Recreational Services Department and sign-up as a Free Agent. Although not a guarantee, signing up as a Free Agent will give teams looking for players an opportunity to contact interested participants to fill their roster.

Teams looking for players, or teams wishing to meet new people and fill their roster at the same time, make sure to check "Yes" on your Info Sheet that you are looking for Free Agents. Free Agents can then be assigned to teams open to completing their roster.
